Using Help
The help system includes tools and features to help you find the information you are looking for. The Help is context sensitive meaning it's designed to open to the topic that is most relevant to your current page in the console. From that topic, you can view related information or use the Contents tab to open other topics.
Navigating the Help
The help system includes the following navigation tools:

The left pane contains the Help's table of contents or TOC. To expand a section, click its title; to collapse it, click the title again.

Open the Glossary to view definitions of key terms used in the Help system. You can open the Glossary from most topics by clicking Glossary of terms under Additional links. You can also view a term definition by hovering over a glossary term in a topic. Glossary terms are identified by a dashed underline (for example, data point A discreet unit of information that is detected on a device and communicated to the Absolute Monitoring Center by the device's Secure Endpoint Agent.).

Enter a keyword or phrase in the Search field to find information about a particular feature, tool, or task. From the list of topics click a topic to open it. The searched text is highlighted yellow.
A Search field is also available on the Help's welcome page.
The Search field includes several advanced features:
Feature | Description |
---|---|
Case sensitivity | The search tool is not case-sensitive. For example, if you enter device, the search results include topics that contain device or Device. |
Partial keyword searches |
Generate search results by entering a minimum of three characters. In addition, the search tool finds variants of a keyword. For example, if you enter the keyword scan, the search results include topics that contain scan, scans, scanning, or scanned, and so on. |
Phrase searches | Search for a phrase of two or more words by enclosing the phrase in quotation marks (" "). |
Wildcard searches | Use the wildcard character (*) in your searches. For example, if you enter the keyword *activate, search results include topics that contain deactivate, activate, or both words. |
Boolean operators |
Use boolean operators in your searches. For example, if you enter scan AND deactivate, the search results include topics that contain both words. The following operators are supported:
Boolean operators are not case sensitive. For example, you can enter and, And, or AND. |

Breadcrumbs are shown above the topic title next to You are here. They show the topics that are above the current topic in the TOC hierarchy. Click a link in the breadcrumbs to open a topic.
